KENYAN DJ & Producer

L3MAYIAN is a Kenyan DJ and producer known for his distinctive blend of Afro House, Tribal Tech and electronic music, combining hypnotic rhythms, African-inspired grooves and melodic textures. He has shared stages with leading international and regional artists including David Mayer, Jay Fase, KUSUSA.

A long-standing SAWA resident since the age of 18, L3MAYIAN has grown alongside the SAWA platform and become an integral part of its musical identity. Beyond performing, he contributes to artist curation, bookings and music direction, bringing both his experience as a DJ/producer and his deep connections within East Africa's electronic music scene.

Career Highlights

  • Long-standing SAWA resident - joined the platform in 2021 and has grown into a key part of its musical identity.

  • Co-founder of MoNgoma Records - established in 2022 with Kamushez, focusing on African-inspired House, Afro Tech and Tribal-influenced electronic music.

  • International performances - performed in Berlin and the Netherlands in 2026, including a broadcast for Sacode Collective / THF Radio and an appearance on OOG Radio's Megachoice programme.

  • Major artist lineups - has opened for artists including David Mayer, Jay Fase, KUSUSA, Max Doblhoff, and Tina Ardor, and shared lineups with artists including Robin M and Foozak.

  • Festival & event appearances - performed at events including Muze Open Air on the Beach, Beneath The Baobabs, Kaleidoscope, MoNgoma's events and other major Kenyan electronic music gatherings.

  • Producer - releases include Reesha, Paradigm Shift, Selengei, Arabuko Sokoke and the Saint Evo remix of Koito, released through MoNgoma Records.

  • Music & production leadership - beyond DJing, he has been involved in artist collaboration, music curation and stage/production work, including managing the Rave Cave stage at Kaleidoscope Festival.

  • Avocado.theDJ is a leading talent from Botswana, whose sets invite listeners to lose themselves in the transformative power of music. She has performed at some of East Africa’s most prominent festivals and toured Germany, captivating audiences with her immersive sound.

    Her 3-hour performance on the Acid Bogen floor during Kater Blau’s 9-year anniversary was widely acclaimed, while appearances at Bücht der Träumer Festival and the legendary Klunkerkranich further cemented her reputation as a global electronic music force.

    Since her epic debut at SAWA in 2024, Avocado.theDJ has become a Resident DJ, consistently delivering performances that mesmerise and elevate every crowd she plays for.

  • Evan Rhodes is on fire, and that’s the word on the street from anyone who’s caught his electrifying sets or heard his latest releases. A Detroit-born DJ, producer, and classically trained pianist, Evan Rhodes brings over 25 years of experience to the decks, combining flawless ‘old school’ mixing with a fresh, forward-thinking sound.

    His music rides the line between Minimal Tech and UK Garage, marked by signature swinging drums, deep grooves, and undeniable depth. With over 50 international releases under his belt, including the top 5 charting "Bounce To This" on Spekkula Records, Evan is a prolific force in the studio as well as on stage.

    Rooted in the rich musical heritage of Detroit, he remains committed to pushing boundaries while staying true to the soul of the sound. Whether in the booth or in the studio, Evan Rhodes continues to shape the electronic music landscape, leaving his mark on dancefloors around the world.

  • KIKO founded SAWA in 2020 with a vision to shape a new kind of event experience, one rooted in House, Minimal, and Techno, and driven by a deep love for downtempo, organic, and melodic sounds. As the curator behind the SAWA vibe, he’s constantly on the lookout for artists who resonate with the crew’s ethos: intimate beach gatherings, carefully crafted soundscapes, and a shared passion for music that brings kindred souls together.

  • The sensation DJ/Producer based on the Kenyan coast, boasts a rich heritage with English and Maasai roots. Renowned for his dynamic mixing style, @l3mayian.ke seamlessly fuses Tribal tech and House music, crafting a distinct sonic identity. He co-founded Mongoma Records with Kamushez, a platform that showcases the distinctive sounds of both local and international artists, with a focus on exploring African-inspired House and Techno.

  • RickK is a rising force in the House & Techno scene, emerging from the vibrant coastal city of Mombasa, Kenya. As a resident DJ at SAWA, his sets have quickly become a signature element of the experience, pulsing with deep, underground rhythms and an ever-evolving sound. Known for his bold selections and seamless blends, RickK continues to carve out his space in the East African electronic music landscape, delivering fresh energy to every dancefloor he touches.

  • Rich Mvazi is one of the most intriguing new talents rising from the Kenyan electronic scene. While influenced by Afro House, his sound has evolved far beyond labels, shaped by a boundless curiosity for music across all genres. Rich crafts dynamic sets that defy convention, blending rhythm, texture, and unexpected transitions with fearless energy.

    Known for his explosive mixing style and magnetic stage presence, every performance is a full-throttle experience. Whether in an intimate setting or on a larger stage, Rich Mvazi continues to stand out as a bold and exciting force in East Africa’s underground music movement.
